Higher court backs Rostelecom’s 452 mln rbl claim against govt
MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld on Monday a lower court’s decision that claimed over 452 million rubles from the Digital Ministry in favor of state-controlled telecom company Rostelecom.
The higher court rejected the ministry’s complaint against the February motion of the Moscow Arbitration court, which came in force. Rostelecom first wanted to receive about 470 million rubles, but the amount was decreased.
The lawsuit was about settlements on the project of migration and registration system Mir.
Under the agreement with the ministry, Rostelecom provided services and maintained functioning of Mir till 2017, but no further contracts were signed later regardless of the fact that the operator continued to provide services.
